Field Day is just around the corner!
If you are interested in helping plan for Field Day, we will have a series of online meetings to plan out the details! You’re welcome to join if interested!

What we know so far:
When
- June 27-28. (plus June 26 for setup)
- The main event starts at 18:00 UTC (11:00am) June 27th and ends 18:00 UTC (11:00am) on the 28th.
- Setup will begin the afternoon of the 26th, we plan to meet at 1pm.
Where
- Zack Packared Memorial Foundation (formerly the 4H horse camp)
- Address: 5390 4 H Rd NW, Salem, OR 97304

Food
- We will have water and small snacks to share.
- The club will likely be providing food on Saturday night, details to come!
- You will be responsible for your own food for other meals.
Overnight Camping
- You are welcome to stay the nights both Friday and Saturday.
- Please bring your own equipment.
GOTA (Get On The Air)
- We will have an active GOTA station for visitors, unlicensed, & newly-licensed individuals to utilize with coaching.
Antennas and Radios
- Plans for antennas & Radios have not been decided yet.
- Please join our planning meetings to provide your input!
- Last year, we raised a 500′ delta loop again over the main camp area, along with a triplexer a portable beam antenna!
- HT’s are always good for communication on site, please bring yours!
Mesh
- We will be utilizing mesh gear to provide a network on site for communication and logging.
Other Notes
- Poison oak is present at the location. Be sure to wear pants if you plan to go into the trees or unmown areas.
- We are going to be outside, be prepared for bugs and insects.
- Cabins area available for use, though these are not much more then wooden boxes with cots.
- A small kitchen, fridge and freezer are available.
- Bathrooms and showers are available.
Events
- There will be some sort of educational activity held during the event.
